I had such a fun and busy weekend! I got to hang with my DH4L homie A TON. Then, I crafted, saw Chicago in a new light, ate loads of frozen yogurt, ate other super tasty food, and of course prepped for Halloween cards/photos. Here’s a few photos from the weekend. Over 3 pounds of froyo was consumed.

It’s Friday! Yay! That means crafting and fun events are upon us! Here’s a look at my Friday in pictures and music videos. Confirmation of my Thai Bamboo Stick Tattoo in November in Bangkok The Chicago River/Buildings on my weekly walk to Bloomingdales. Bloomingdale’s Bathroom Selfie. You know you love it. Shoes at Nordstrom that I DID NOT buy. 😦 Tears. Boris learned how to get on the fridge – there is no sacred space in my home now.
Bought tickets for Pentagram a few days ago, but I’m really stoked.
I also got a ticket to see Orange Goblin… They are awesome live. My hearing has probably recovered since the last show I went to in 2011.
*it’s a long video but, skip around – they are great.
HAPPY FRIDAY! May your weekend be blessed with crafts/puppies/kittens/metal/love!
Today’s Blog Challenge is what I like doing on a rainy day.
There are more rainy days here in Chicago than Denver. I like it though. Except when I get caught in a deluge walking home from the train – then it’s not really so magical. BUT – when I’m in doors I really dig the rain.
Here’s some stuff that makes a rainy day even better:
Knitting DUH. Enjoying the best espresso with almond milk and flavored stevia. Browsing my favorite blogs – check out a few.
On part of my lunch break I walked up to Bloomingdales Home for some espresso pods. I recently found the joy of owning a Nespresso machine and I am IN LOVE with it. Here are some photos from my lunchtime ‘Nespresso errand” in Downtown Chicago.
The Science of Mind building and the black and gold plated building behind it I’ve never noticed.Gloomy day, but still humid makes for gorgeous flowers.Bloomingdales Home. So pretty. On the inside and out.My choices for the next week. Fall inspired color palette.
Sur La Table has the espresso pods for these machines too so if you’d like to check it out and do not have a Nespresso Boutique in your city head there!
Also today I learned how to make a ‘Burnt Marshmellow’ Cappuccino curteousy of Walter at the N.B.
One pod Vanilio
One pod Ciocattino
Your choice of Dairy lightly foamed
Sugar/Stevia to taste
Still are not convinced – Once you buy one of these machines your life turns into this:
I’ve coined myself and the N.B. associates as the Bloomingdales Coffee Murder Crew – it hasn’t caught on yet…. YET.
